Each phase has a different football need, so the coaching focus changes as players mature.
Fun, engaging sessions that develop coordination, confidence and a love for the game. Players learn fundamental movement patterns, basic ball control and the importance of teamwork.
Players begin building a stronger technical foundation through structured training and game-based learning. Sessions focus on ball mastery, passing, receiving and making better decisions under pressure.
Training introduces greater tactical awareness and positional understanding while continuing to refine technical ability. Players are encouraged to think independently, solve problems and apply skills in realistic match situations.
Sessions become more competitive and demanding, with a stronger focus on tactical discipline, athletic development and consistency. Players learn to take greater responsibility for their preparation, performance and growth.
Training is designed to prepare players for high-level school football through advanced tactical concepts and performance standards. Leadership, resilience and game management become increasingly important parts of development.
High-performance coaching focused on maximising team success and individual potential. Preparation centres around match execution, accountability, competitive excellence and maintaining standards on and off the pitch.
Pathways
Exceptional players deserve access to opportunities beyond the school environment. PP approaches pathway conversations through assessment, preparation and the right introductions.
Players must first train under PP so they can be properly assessed before pathway guidance or introductions are considered. Access and opportunities are never guaranteed.
Individual attention for players seeking focused growth through personalised planning, technical development and position-specific work.
Access to football-specific equipment including balls, cones, ladders, poles, bibs and other tools designed to support better sessions.
The PP Philosophy
A simple principle that guides everything we do. From session planning and match preparation to long-term player development, we believe that preparation lays the foundation for confidence, growth and performance.

Director
Director | Pitch Partners
Khumo Modise is a Jeppe High School Old Boy who was awarded Football Full Colours and developed through the Wits Juniors and Sporting Lisbon development systems, having the opportunity to compete in international tournaments throughout his youth. During his time at Jeppe, he was part of the team that won the prestigious St David's Challenge Cup in 2022 and finished as the tournament's leading goal scorer.
He later earned a football scholarship to the United States, where he played for Tennessee Wesleyan University and DMV Elite FC, a semi professional club based in the Washington and Maryland area, while also coaching youth players aged 6 to 13 at McMinn County.
After returning to South Africa, Khumo coached the Jeppe High School Second Team to a near perfect season before continuing his coaching journey at Reddam Waterfall. Through Pitch Partners, he draws on his experiences as both a player and coach to help schools create environments where young athletes can develop, compete and reach their full potential.
"Talent becomes meaningful only when structure gives it direction."
Leadership & Technical Team
PP is built around a younger coaching staff with recent playing experience, modern energy and the ability to connect with school players in a way that feels relatable, disciplined and ambitious.

Mpho has developed his football career across South Africa and Spain, representing Sporting CP Johannesburg, Stars of Africa, CD Olímpic Xàtiva, Rayo Alcobendas and CF Llutxent. Alongside his playing career, he has coached and mentored numerous talented footballers through private coaching, including South African youth international Gomolemo Kekana, who was part of the South African U20 side that won the 2025 AFCON title. Having also worked with a number of Reserve League players, he brings valuable international experience and a strong understanding of player development across different levels of the game.

Ntwanano has competed within South Africa's elite development structures, representing Randburg FC and playing in the Engen Knockout Tournament as a 17 year old against some of the country's leading academies. His recent experience in high-level environments helps him relate to young players while showing them what the next standard looks like. Having also trained with PSL first teams and Reserve League environments, he brings leadership, discipline and first-hand insight into elite football demands.

A recipient of Full Colours for Football and former Captain of the Jeppe High School for Boys First Team, Nkateko first gained high-level exposure when he represented Mpumalanga Black Aces at the prestigious Mundialito International Tournament at a young age. He later captained Jeppe to victory at the 2022 St David's Tournament, played for Wits University FC, and earned a Football Scholarship to the University of Johannesburg (UJ). As U14A Coach at Jeppe, he guided the side to consecutive Parktown Tournament Finals without suffering a defeat, bringing a strong understanding of school football, leadership, and player development to the PP coaching team.
Beyond the listed team, Pitch Partners has access to additional young coaches who have played at a high level. This gives schools coaches who understand the modern player, communicate naturally with learners and still deliver the discipline, intensity and standards expected from a serious environment.
